Reservations for the electron microscopes can be done through our electronic reservation system. Before you can make the reservation, you will need a valid user account. User account will be issued only after a project sheet has been handled (see instructions for new users).

If you want to access the reservation system from outside of the University of Helsinki you can use either authenticated proxy or HY-VPN services provided that you have an e-mail account at the university.

Those who do not have University of Helsinki e-mail account please reserve microscopes by calling to the EM-unit, tel. 09-191 59507, and we will do the booking for you.

Important to know before booking:

• Cancellations should be done at least 1 hour before the planned microscope session. If the reservation is not cancelled you will be charged for it.
• First-time users will need to book the microscope training at the same time, and this should be done by contacting Mervi Lindman by telephone (09-191 59507) or via e-mail (mervi.lindman -at- helsinki.fi).
