I just started as a project leader in the institute. My researcher is the on mechanisms of evolution. I focus on morphological evolution and to this end I have been forced to develop general theories about the interdependence between the dynamics of development and the dynamics of evolution. This in turn has bring me to study the mechanisms of pattern formation in development that are responsible for the generation of phenotypic variation in populations. In practice my work involves integrating experimental data in development into mathematical models of development and evolution. You can see my homepage in UAB for more concrete explanations and publications.
