I am postdoctoral researcher on mechanisms of evolution. My focus is on morphological evolution and to this end I have been forced to develop general theories about the interdependence between dynamics of development and the dynamics of evolution. This in turn has bring me to study the mechanisms of pattern formation in development that are responsible for the generation of phenotypic variation in populations. In practice my work involves integrating experimental data in development into mathematical models of development and evolution.
