Research

Our longstanding interest is the global and comprehensive understanding of phosphorylation mediated informational networks (ie. signaling networks) of the human protein kinases and phosphatases. We are combining systems biology methods, genomics and quantitative proteomics, to analyse and describe in detail the structure and dynamics of these networks, and to ultimately mathematically model the signaling reactions mediated by protein kinases and phosphatases.

In addition, our group focuses on developing novel mass spectrometry and bioinformatics methods for protein-protein interaction analyses and for detection and validation of post-translational modifications, such as phosphorylation and O-GlcNAcylation.
