PhD student position for 4 years is available in the research group led by professor Annamari Ranki to study targeted treatment of autoimmune disorders. The full-time position will start immediately.  Our research group has facilities both at Biomedicum Helsinki and at the Department of Dermatology and allergology, Skin and allergy hospital, Helsinki University Hospital. The deadline for submitting applications is January 28, 2019, but review of applications will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled.

PhD student and postdoc positions in cell biology / neurobiology / biochemistry at the University of Helsinki. The Cellular Individuality group led by Assistant Professor Juha Saarikangas is now searching for talented Postdoctoral researchers and PhD students. Our newly established and well-funded team investigates how global changes in protein folding and assembly states give rise to spatially organized and adaptive biochemistries in cells. The positions are open until January 31, 2019, or until suitable candidates are found.

A PhD student position is available at the University of Helsinki, Cancer Gene Therapy Group (CGTG), led by Professor Akseli Hemminki, MD, PhD. CGTG is located in Haartman Institute on the Helsinki Academic Medical Campus in Meilahti, Helsinki, Finland. Our research involves cancer immunotherapy with oncolytic viruses and adaptive cell therapies such as T-cell therapy, and their interplay. Deadline for applications is February 28, 2019.

In collaboration with the Nordic EMBL Partnership in Molecular Medicine, FIMM announces the opening of the 2019 call for applications for Doctoral Students in Molecular Medicine, Bioinformatics, and Data Science as part of the FIMM-EMBL International PhD recruitment and training program. In this program, outstanding doctoral students are recruited to the institute-level rotation program where they will work with two to three different research groups during a six to nine month period prior to matching to a research group in which they remain for their doctoral studies.
