The Graduate School Life Science Munich (LSM) is part of the Faculty of Biology and the Faculty of Chemistry and Pharmacy of the Ludwig-Maximilans-Universität (LMU) of Munich. These faculties are ranked among the top biology and biochemistry educational institutions in Europe. The LSM seeks to prepare young motivated researchers by offering a structured international doctoral programme in life sciences. The deadline for submissions is November 29, 2017.

Open position for a PhD student at the Department of Fundamental Microbiology, University of Lausanne. The Department of Fundamental Microbiology offers a position of Doctoral Student SNSF (on bacteriophage therapy for Staphylococcus aureus infections). Deadline for applications is 30.11.2017.

The Tumor Genomics Research Group at the University of Helsinki’s Faculty of Medicine, is one of the largest biomedical research groups in Finland with a 30-member research team, including biologists, computer scientists and medical doctors. The group focuses on understanding the causes and mechanisms of tumorigenesis, particularly in uterine leiomyoma and colorectal cancer. Here, researchers are given the opportunity to work in an internationally acclaimed research environment and good working atmosphere. We are currently seeking outstanding candidates for a graduate student and a post-doctoral researcher positions. PhD student position available for four years: The role of RAB24 in healthy and diseased neurons. The student will work in the group of prof. Eeva-Liisa Eskelinen at the University of Turku, Finland. Eskelinen group investigates membrane dynamics in mammalian autophagy. Application deadline is 6.12.2017.
